We need youth to interview community and faith based organizations to locate the hidden resources available to our at-risk youth. Please fill out the form below for Private listings. For Public listings please fill out this form. All submitted resources will be reviewed by 4People for accuracy. HISTORY: Home Base, a consortium of government, non-profits, faith based organizations, mental health counselors, and individuals have been working over the last year to reduce homelessness in Benton and Franklin Counties. January 2006 a Point In Time count was conducted to show that 996 people in Benton and Franklin Counties were homeless, of those 296 were under 17, and 211 children under 12. Other indicators of homelessness is that 10-15%or 20,000-35,000 of people in the Benton and Franklin Counties do not have health insurance, just one step away from homelessness. Home Base has a 10 year plan to reduce Homelessness by 50%, and the key to this plan is to use the online 4People Resource and Multi Agency Case Management system. We need your help, many of the community resources for youth in our area are hidden or private, where youth at risk have no place to go. A youth under 18 without a guardian cannot stay at the local Mission. The only way they are currently helped is through the Juvenile Justice, or through Child protective services. We need alternatives to help our at risk youth. Help "Map" our community youth resources! |
